Carolina Caring is Seeking a Compassionate Physician to Join Our Team

Carolina Caring is seeking a compassionate Family Medicine or Med-Peds Physician to join our award-winning team in a unique blended role serving both Adult Hospice and Cardinal Kids Pediatric Palliative Care.

As one of North Carolina’s most respected nonprofit hospice and palliative care organizations, this position offers the opportunity to care for patients across the lifespan while building meaningful relationships with patients and families during some of life’s most important moments. You’ll collaborate with an experienced interdisciplinary team dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centered care that enhances quality of life.

Position Highlights

  • Unique blended role supporting both Adult Hospice and Cardinal Kids Pediatric Palliative Care.
  • Collaborate with an experienced interdisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, social workers, chaplains, pharmacists, and other dedicated professionals.

Minimum Experience:

Member in good standing on the medical staff of hospitals in Carolina Caring’s service area. Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy with five years of clinical experience beyond board certification. One year of experience working as a part of an interdisciplinary team preferred. Management and leadership experience preferred.

Required Degree:

A Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy with a current, unrestricted license to practice medicine under the provisions of the North Carolina Board of Medicine. Board certified in a medical specialty which includes the care of terminally ill patients is preferred. Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine within two years of employment is preferred.
