Carolina Caring invites a compassionate and skilled Medical Doctor to join our award-winning team and support our vital mission. In this pivotal role, you’ll provide essential physician services, directly impacting the quality of life for patients within our hospice and palliative medicine programs.
This full-time position is based in the Catawba and Gaston county region, with rounding responsibilities at Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas, NC. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with approximately 6 weekends per year. You will also oversee Nurse Practitioners and collaborate closely with our interdisciplinary care teams.

Minimum Experience:
Member in good standing on the medical staff of hospitals in Carolina Caring’s service area. Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy with five years of clinical experience beyond board certification. One year of experience working as a part of an interdisciplinary team preferred. Management and leadership experience preferred.
Required Degree:
A Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy with a current, unrestricted license to practice medicine under the provisions of the North Carolina Board of Medicine. Board certified in a medical specialty which includes the care of terminally ill patients is preferred. Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine within two years of employment is preferred.
