Specialized Programs

Carolina Caring - Specialized Programs.jpg

Through the years, Carolina Caring has demonstrated particular expertise treating certain medical conditions commonly associated with end-of-life care.

For example, we were the first hospice in North Carolina and among the first in the nation to create specialized programs for cardiac and pulmonary diseases. We have also achieved Level 4 status (the highest available) in the We Honor Veterans program, a joint effort of the National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) and the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

The specialized pathways of care we’ve developed in these various fields benefit patients by delivering added comfort, acknowledging special circumstances, and educating families and caregivers.
