NEWTON, NC – Carolina Caring Cardinal Kids’ Dr. Brooke Hata, Pediatrician, has been voted “Best Pediatrician” in the 2026 Best of Catawba Valley contest.

 Dr. Hata has made a lasting impact on countless children and families navigating serious illness. Her expertise in pediatric care, combined with her personal commitment to helping each child experience joy despite their medical conditions, reflects Carolina Caring’s mission to provide compassionate, high-quality support for all.

Launched in 2019, Cardinal Kids is the pediatric serious illness care program of Carolina Caring. It provides specialized care for children of all ages who face complex medical needs. Services include prenatal care, palliative medicine, and hospice care, utilizing a comprehensive approach to treatment that addresses each child’s physical needs as well as their social and emotional ones.
