Caring Together, Stronger than Ever

On October 1st, 2024, CaroMont Health and Carolina Caring launched an innovative, strategic partnership, with Gaston Hospice now operating under the name Carolina Caring.

While all services are branded under Carolina Caring, hospice and palliative care operations remain unchanged. This includes operations at the office on Remount Road in Gastonia, NC and the Robin Johnson House in Dallas, NC. Both facilities will welcome patients and families in our community who are in need of serious illness care.

Providing Quality Care You Can Trust

Care should be personal. That’s why our patients will continue to receive the same high-quality palliative and hospice care, along with expanded access to specialized programs designed to meet diverse needs.

Carolina Caring in the Community

Finding Shelter at Robin Johnson House

When Hurricane Helene struck Western NC in September 2024, thousands of residents were left without food, water, power, and shelter. Among those affected was 84-year-old Grace, a hospice patient of Compassionate Care Western North Carolina, who found herself in need of critical care and assistance.

Compassionate Care arranged for Grace to be airlifted from her home and transported to a Catawba County shelter; however, it was a matter of time before Grace’s medication and oxygen supplies ran low. Compassionate Care reached out to Carolina Caring for further support.

After receiving the call, our teams offered Grace accommodation at the Carolina Caring Robin Johnson House. Staff members in Gaston County worked hard to ensure that Grace received a comfortable room, the right medications, and care from our expert hospice team.
