Carolina Caring is seeking a compassionate Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join our award-winning Cardinal Kids Pediatric Hospice & Palliative Care Program. In this role, you will provide exceptional, family-centered hospice and palliative nursing care to pediatric patients primarily throughout the Charlotte-Mecklenburg region, with occasional travel within our broader service area as needed.
As a Pediatric RN, you will coordinate care, develop individualized care plans, and perform comprehensive nursing assessments to ensure comfort, dignity, and the highest quality of life for each child and their family. You will anticipate and assist with symptom management, including pain control, while providing compassionate support throughout every stage of the patient’s journey.
Working alongside physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, chaplains, child life specialists, and the interdisciplinary care team, you will help provide seamless, compassionate care across multiple settings. You’ll also have the opportunity to educate and support families while contributing to both formal and informal education for interdisciplinary team members to enhance the quality of care provided.

Serving families primarily throughout the Charlotte-Mecklenburg region, we are committed to supporting not only our patients but also the families who walk alongside them.
Employee Type:
Monday–Friday | 40 hours/week | Typical hours: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Minimum Experience:
Two or more years of nursing experience required. Pediatric experience strongly preferred. Experience in hospice, home health, complex care, oncology, PICU, NICU, or case management is welcomed. Pediatric hospice experience is not required; specialized orientation will be provided.
Required Degree:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's or master's degree preferred. Must maintain a current, unrestricted North Carolina RN license and CPR certification.
