Mooresville, NC—On Saturday, September 19th, Carolina Caring Foundation brought the community together for the 2nd annual Cardinal KidsFest, a free, medically-supervised environment that offered family-friendly activities for children of all medical needs and physical abilities.
Carolina Caring Cardinal Kids supports hundreds of young patients and families facing serious illness through expert, compassionate care. The program, established in 2019, provides prenatal care as well as pediatric palliative and hospice care.
Carolina Caring Foundation launched Cardinal KidsFest so that patients, their families, and the greater community can enjoy a fun, medically accommodating event together. Activity sponsors provided multiple games and craft booths, and special guests from the local racing community made appearances, including ZMAX CARS Tour driver Michael Bumgarner and a Penske stock car presented by the Ryan Blaney Family Foundation.
The Foundation encouraged visitors to learn more about Cardinal Keepers, a corporate and community sponsorship initiative established earlier this year.
Every contribution to the Cardinal Keepers campaign helps these young patients and their families access a variety of necessary serious illness care services, some of which are not fully covered through traditional reimbursement sources. The campaign offers multiple levels of partnership.
Carolina Caring Foundation thanks presenting sponsor, the Piper G. Amundson Foundation, and supporting sponsors, Pinnacle Financial Partners and Williamson’s Chapel UMC, which generously opened their doors as event host for the second year in a row.
Carolina Caring Foundation also thanks KidsZone activity sponsors: Aveanna Healthcare; Bayada Home Health Care; Jamir’s Heart; Mitchell’s House; Make-A-Wish Central and Western North Carolina; Continuum Pediatric Nursing; Victory Junction; and G.E.M.S.
Anyone looking to give back to a local cause this holiday season is encouraged to support Cardinal Kids prenatal, palliative, and hospice care programs.
