David W. Cook
President/Chief Executive Officer
Dave Cook, MBA, is a seasoned executive with over 16 years of hospice leadership. He has broad experience in strategic planning, finance, customer satisfaction, relationship-building, and outreach/growth initiatives. Dave has also participated in industry work groups and innovation teams, been involved in regulatory committees, and collaborated with key leaders of large hospital systems. After just one year of outstanding work as Chief Operating Officer, the Board of Directors appointed Dave to the position of President/Chief Executive Officer. Dave’s multi-faceted expertise and creativity support Carolina Caring’s mission to provide a world-class experience to all patients and families.
David B. Clarke
Executive Vice President of Foundation
Dave Clarke, MHA, brings 40+ years of expertise in health care administration to his position as Executive Vice President of Carolina Caring's Foundation. Well versed in strategic planning, business development, physician practice management, and provider reimbursement, Dave has spearheaded the western NC-based organization since 1997. He has also served on the board for the Carolinas Center for Hospice and End-of-Life Care and been a vital member of various industry-related state and national committees.
Vice President of Clinical Outreach
Caron Tucker, RN, CHPN, has been with Carolina Caring since 1990. Caron and her team provide information about CC programs and services to medical practices, hospitals, and community facilities and help coordinate new patient referrals. Prior to her involvement with Hospice, Caron was employed in the long-term care industry for 13 years, serving as Director of Nursing for a 175-bed facility, among other roles.
Vice President of Community Relations
Kelly Tate coordinates Carolina Caring's programs for the faith community, minority populations, and other interested groups within a 12-county service area. She also oversees the Volunteer Services team and the Carolina Caring Foundation, which raises funds to provide care for uninsured and underinsured patients. A trained mediator and facilitator, Kelly has worked extensively with children and youth as well.
Executive Director, Foundation
Christina McNally brings a wide variety of experience within healthcare administration, non-profit management and fund development to her role as the Executive Director of the Carolina Caring Foundation. Prior to her role with Carolina Caring, Christina led strategic and business development efforts at Atrium Health’s Levine Cancer Institute, in Charlotte, where she worked to establish, and strengthen, partnerships across the Carolinas. Christina utilizes her relationships throughout the region, and her understanding of the needs of the community, to ensure that the Foundation remains fiscally strong and well respected. Through partnerships, fundraising efforts, grant writing, community events and the Carolina Caring Thrift Store, the Foundation continues to ensure that Carolina Caring has the ability to serve everyone.
Carolina Caring physicians are devoted to the patients they serve, offering them the utmost care and attention at a time when compassion counts as much as experience. They also do the important work of helping patients and their families understand disease progression while offering gentle, realistic expectations of their individual diagnoses.

The Carolina Caring Board of Directors is a diverse group of professional and retired community members who bring special talents and interests to inform the work and direction of our organization.
They represent the fields of law, education, medicine, health care, real estate, ministry, entrepreneurialism, manufacturing, and insurance. As such, they provide a broad perspective on the various communities we serve and help visualize developing needs within our service lines and scope of care.
Carolina Caring seeks to offer residents within our 12-county service area a breadth of opportunities related to advanced illness management, senior care, and end-of-life care. To further that goal, we collaborate with a variety of related agencies and have been instrumental in helping envision and implement other organizations and services.
