Bereavement Counselor, Part-time
Carolina Caring is seeking a Bereavement Counselor to provide anticipatory and grief counseling services to hospice patients, families, caregivers and/or the community.
Position would spend majority of day providing bereavement services to families who have lost their loved one under hospice care. Counseling is provided in a variety of methods including phone calls, facilitating support groups and minimal face to face visits.
Employee Type Part Time
Education Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or Counseling field is required. Master's level Social Worker and LCSW preferred.
Experience Clinical knowledge, training and skills to assess patients and families counseling needs. Experience in hospice or healthcare environment preferred. Experience in group facilitation and/or public speaking preferred.
Travel Must be able to travel within the community 25% of the time depending on caseload requirements
